Education of foreign students at MPEI began in 1946. During this time, more than 11,000 citizens from 85 countries of the world received diplomas of engineers, bachelors and masters. Many graduates of MPEI held and hold responsible posts in their countries. In total, MPEI has 70 departments, 550 educational laboratories for students, more than 100 research laboratories and the Center for High Technologies. More than 15,000 students and 500 graduate students study at MPEI, including 1700 foreign students and graduate students from 65 countries.
