Radionuclide generators are needed to obtain the target radionuclide with a short half-life from the parent radionuclide with a longer half-life. The target radionuclide is subsequently directly used for the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals. The described scheme allows to produce radiopharmaceuticals directly in medical institutions without installing complex and expensive equipment.
