"GELIOS" is a medical device designed to treat living tissues with a stream of cold plasma. The device affects tissues with nonequilibrium cold plasma obtained in an inert gas (helium, argon, nitrogen or a mixture of these gases). Ions and neutral particles in the plasma have very low energy, so the temperature of such a plasma is small, only 30-45°C.
