FEDERAL STATE BUDGETARY INSTITUTION OF SCIENCE INSTITUTE OF SPACE RESEARCH OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES

Federal State Budgetary Institution of Science Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI RAS) is the leading academic institute for the exploration and use of outer space in the interests of fundamental sciences. IKI carries out experimental scientific work in such areas of space physics as astrophysics, physics of planets and small bodies of the solar system, physics of the sun and solar-terrestrial connections, space plasma and research in the field of nonlinear geophysics. IKI is also entrusted with the preparation of programs for scientific space research, the development and testing of scientific equipment complexes according to projects adopted by the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Federal Space Agency.
